Femme Verloskundigen has been a well-known name in The Hague for 25 years. We are located in the heart of the city, right in the center. Within walking distance of the HMC Westeinde hospital and easily accessible by tram, bus and car.
Our practice was founded at a time when midwifery care was mainly approached clinically. We wanted something different: care that focuses on women, with personal attention and clear explanations.
In the years that followed we saw generations of women passing by. Sometimes first for their own pregnancy, later with their sister, a friend or their daughter. That trust is what drives us.
We have given Femme a new look, without losing what has always been important: personal care, clear communication and a trusted place to go with your questions.

Heleen has been a midwife for 15 years and had her own practice as a soloist for 8 years. She is known for her calm way of thinking along, even with questions or situations that are not standard. No question is too crazy: Heleen takes the time to sit with you, think along and create a tailor-made plan together. She also supervises Centering Pregnancy/group care.

Shanice is our all-round midwife. She can do anything! Midwifery care, ultrasounds and the placement of coils, she is known for her careful follow-up: she takes the time to discuss things with you and remains involved until it is clear that everything is going well.

Karen is closely linked to the origins of Femme and has been part of the practice for many years. Nowadays she provides, among other things, screening ultrasounds, such as the 13-week ultrasound and 20-week ultrasound. She is also involved in medical ultrasounds and keepsake ultrasounds.

Judith is an experienced sonographer and has been a familiar face at Femme for years. She makes the screening ultrasounds, the 13 and 20 week ultrasounds, among other things, and takes the time to explain to you what you see in the image.
