Group care during pregnancy

A form of pregnancy care where you meet with other women of similar due dates. More time, more depth, recognition. At Femme we offer Centering Pregnancy for those it fits.

Group sessions are currently held in Dutch. If you’re interested but unsure about language, get in touch — some groups are mixed.

What is group care?

In group care you meet 10 times with other expectant women of similar due dates. At each meeting you get the same check-ups as in individual care (blood pressure, hearing the heartbeat), but there’s ample time to dig into topics that come up.

Group care is midwifery care and an extended preparation programme rolled into one. You meet other pregnant women, get more time for explanations, and prepare more consciously for pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

What we cover

  • Pregnancy & nutrition
  • Physical changes & complaints
  • Prenatal screening
  • Birth preparation
  • Postnatal & first weeks with your baby
  • Feeding & bonding
  • Partner involvement

Is it right for me?

Centering Pregnancy fits women who want more time, depth and exchange. It is not a course you do on the side — it replaces individual check-ups. Many women love it; others prefer one-to-one care. You can discuss your preference at registration.
