A positive or negative test can change your life. That's why you can come to us always take a pregnancy test free of charge — whether you are already a client or not. You don't have to arrange anything: just walk in during our walk-in times.
Our midwives are ready to review the results together and answer your questions. Calmly, without judgement, and completely at your pace.
A pregnancy test measures the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your urine. Your body produces this hormone as soon as a fertilized egg implants. If hCG is present, the test is positive and you are most likely pregnant.
A test is the most reliable from the day your period should have started. If you test earlier, there may still be too little hCG to detect pregnancy and the result may be unreliable. If in doubt, repeat the test a few days later, preferably with morning urine (which is the most concentrated).
Done at the right time, a pregnancy test is very reliable. A positive results are almost always correct. A negative If you get a result when you don't have your period, it could mean you tested too early — repeat the test after a few days. We are happy to help you understand the results.
