Blood testing during pregnancy

Where can you go for blood testing during your pregnancy in Den Haag? An overview of the nearest locations to our practice.

When do you need a blood test?

During your pregnancy you have several blood tests:

  • First trimester — standard blood work (blood group, rhesus, infections)
  • Around 22 weeks — a small additional blood test (the “22-week prick”)
  • 27 weeks (if rhesus negative) — an additional check
  • If needed — gestational diabetes screening (the OGTT)

Where can you go?

We refer you to a nearby blood draw location. The most common ones near our practice in the centre of Den Haag:

  • HMC Westeinde Hospital — outpatient lab
  • SHL Group locations across Den Haag
  • Saltro locations

You receive a paper or digital referral from us with your details on it. Some labs require an appointment, others accept walk-ins.
