When is a dietitian useful?

Most women don’t need a dietitian during pregnancy. But in certain situations, personal nutritional advice can be valuable:

  • Gestational diabetes — dietary advice to keep blood sugar stable
  • Severe nausea or vomiting — help getting enough nutrients despite the symptoms
  • Too little or too much weight gain — tailored advice for your situation
  • Special dietary needs — vegetarian, vegan, allergies: a dietitian helps you stay nutritionally balanced
  • Low energy or fatigue — sometimes nutrition-related, sometimes not. We figure it out together.

Insurance

Bravocado has contracts with all Dutch health insurers. The basic insurance covers at least 3 hours of dietary advice per calendar year. For specific indications (like gestational diabetes), often more.
